I was tasked with designing an event creation app for attendees to create and host their events.
PROJECT GOALS
Simplify Event Creation: Make the process of creating and managing events straightforward and user-friendly.
Enhance Event Promotion: Provide tools for hosts to effectively promote their events and reach their target audience.
Streamline Event Management: Enable hosts to manage registrations, ticketing, and communication effortlessly.

RESEARCH AND DISCOVERY
The design process began with extensive user research to understand the needs, behaviors, and challenges faced by event hosts. This involved:
Interviews and Surveys: Conducted with a diverse group of event hosts, ranging from professional event planners to individuals organizing casual gatherings. The goal was to identify common pain points and desired features.
Persona Development: Created detailed user personas to represent the different types of event hosts, including their goals, motivations, and challenges.
Journey Mapping: Mapped out the user journey for creating and managing events, highlighting key touchpoints and potential pain points.
KEY FINDINGS
Complexity of Event Planning: Many hosts found the process of event creation overwhelming due to the numerous details involved, such as logistics, ticketing, and communication.
Need for Customization: Hosts wanted the ability to customize their events to reflect the unique nature of each occasion, whether it was a corporate conference, a wedding, or a community meetup.
WIREFRAMING AND PROTOTYPING
I created wireframes and prototypes to visualize the app’s interface and user flows. Key considerations included:
Simplicity and Clarity: The interface was designed to be clean and intuitive, with a focus on easy navigation and clear instructions.
Step-by-Step Guidance: The event creation process was broken down into manageable steps, with visual cues and prompts to guide users.
